What is HArmonyCA?

HArmonyCA is a hybrid injectable: it is composed of 70% hyaluronic acid gel and 30% calcium

hydroxyapatite. Hyaluronic acid is the main component of traditional “dermal fillers” that

provide volume support and contour to features of the face, with near-immediate results.

Calcium hydroxyapatite is a biostimulator agent – it puts our skin cells that make collagen and

elastin back to work to improve firmness of the skin over time. Our patients who know Radiesse

as a treatment are familiar with the benefits of calcium hydroxyapatite. With HArmonyCA we

can get the best of both worlds: volume support and contouring for near immediate

improvements, while in the next few weeks, the quality of skin improves, with more firmness and

tautness.

What can HArmonyCA treat?

HArmonyCA is well suited to bring additional support the cheekbone, cheek and jawline area –

these areas are important buttresses that hold the skin of the face and prevent or improve sagging

as well as development of jowls.

What is the process and recovery like after HArmonyCA?

As with any injection treatment, pain, pushing and pulling are possible sensations. Swelling and

bruising are possible. Rarely, a nodule can occur (accumulation of product) and is readily

treatable. Extreme care and specialized technique (such as use of blunt-tipped cannulas) are used

to avoid treating near important blood vessels. Massage is performed in the office after the

procedure. The definition, volume support and contouring occurs right away – biostimulation

effects can be observed over 6-12 weeks.
